• GPA - at least 3.37 on 4.0 scale
• Students with a B average on required high- school courses are

              competetive for admission.

               Decision letters mailed during December 14 Early Answer Week

•  November 15, 2009:  South Carolina Honors College and  Top         

              Scholars  Application Deadline

•  December 1, 2009: Priority Application Deadline

               This ensures full and equal consideration for fall semester.  Decisions   

               be released the week of March 15.  Applicants will be automatically  

               considered for all University scholarships, except honors.

        What They Look For:

• A/B unweighted GPA
• 1100 - 1240 SAT scores (critical reading and math only)
• 22 - 26 ACT score
• Class rank in the top 15 percent
• Strong high school curriculum

• Early Notification Deadline:  October 15, 2009

              Decision letters will be mailed late December.  Early notification is non-

              binding.  You have until May 1 to decide if you want to enroll.

• Scholarship Deadline:  December 1, 2009  Admission decision will

              be mailed by April 1.  Scolatships are awarded in February or March.

• Regular Notification Priority Deadline:  February 1, 2010

              Admission decision by April 1.

• Enrollment and Housing Deposit Deadline:  May 1, 2010
