Clarendon Hall presents two types of diplomas to graduating seniors:  a College Preparatory Diploma or a General Academic Diploma.

Accelerated English and Math Program

In order to take five high school math courses in high school for credit, a student must start in the 8th grade with Algebra I and/or English I.    The advanced math will enhance physics, offered in the college pre program to seniors.  Only students who have maintained good grades and have confidence in their abilities should accelerate their program.

Grading Scale for all classes is as follows: 

A+   99-100                B+   90 -92                  C+  82-84                   D+  74-76             F 0-69

DROPPING A COURSE

After Friday, September 18, failure is the penalty for students who drop a course.  The administrator and guidance counselor must approve all schedule changes.  Written parental permission is also required to change a student’s schedule.

 

Ninth Graders will be taking the following UNLESS they’ve already received credit for courses elsewhere:

Ø      Algebra I

Ø      English I ( 1 period of Grammar/Composition, 1 period of Literature)

Ø      Bible (New Testament)

Ø      World Geography

Ø      PE/Health

Ø      Physical Science
